This is how you can SAVE from Police HARRASMENT During Matatu Crackdown- (DETAIL INSIDE)

The Inspector General of Police Joseph Kipchirchir Boinnet has advised Kenyans on new ways to report police harassment during the fresh matatu crackdown.

Through his Twitter, the IG revealed that aggrieved members of the public can now file complaints against the law enforcement agencies anonymously.

“As we restore sanity on our roads, members of public/police officers can now send compliments/complaints against police officers anonymously for free,” another tweet by the National Police Service (NPS) read.

The first way to report harassment incidences anonymously is by calling the toll-free number 0800721230.

Besides, aggrieved police officers and members of the public can send their complaint via the toll-free SMS number 40683.

Equally, Kenyans can anonymously file their complaints and compliments free of charge by dialling *683#.

The new reporting measures are part of the Anonymous Reporting Information System (ARIS) launched last week.
