Details of Peter Kenneth new Political marriage with Raila Odinga.

We can smell of a lingering new political marriage between Raila Odinga and Peter Kenneth. Is he poised to replace baba in 2022 or what is the deal?

Peter Kenneth in the last elections vied for the gubernatorial race in Nairobi which he lost. Previously he had vied for The Presidency which again he lost. But the run gave him some popularity across the nation.

With his recent relationship with the ODM party and Raila Odinda has raised speculations on his next political move.The appearance of the former legislator in company of the ODM entourage has further spilled confusion on the foundation of the hyped handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila.

Leaders from Opposition Party, ODM, have requested ex- Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth to join them in drumming up support for Raila Odinga ahead of 2022 general elections.

Led by party’s Secretary General Edwin Sifuna, the leaders told Kenneth that he was among the few leaders with admirable integrity and the party would be pleased to work with him.

The leaders spoke on Saturday, November 10, in Kitale, Trans-Nzoia County, where they attended a public forum and advanced the 2022 succession politics.

“I want to bring it to your attention that ODM is the largest party in East Africa, we are ready to work with leaders who are straight like you. You can be assured that your presence with us shall not be be taken lightly,” Sifuna informed Kenneth.

Kenneth made one of his latest appearance with the ODM Leader on Tuesday, November 6, at Goodison Park, England, during Gor Mahia’s play off against Everton.

Saboti MP Caleb Amisi said it was time Kenneth swung back in active politics and work with politically sober leaders.

On his part, the former KenyaRe boss said he held talks with Raila and he would soon make public the resolutions of their consultations.

“The March, 9, 2018, pact between Uhuru and Raila is one that every leader must support,” said Kenneth.

The event was also attended by Mathare MP Antony Oluoch and outspoken Embakasi MP Babu Owino.

Raila has, however, remained mum on whether he will be on the ballot during the next electioneering period.

Recently, he stated that he will be taking a back seat in active politics and focus on his new appointment by the African Union.

His close allies, for instance, Suna East MP Junet Mohamed, Siaya Senator James Orengo and Suba MP John Mbadi have insisted that the former prime ministers remains their preferred presidential candidate come 2022.
