Known for it’s highly developed infrastructure, Kenyatta university was once considered the Academic hub for East Africa if not Africa. The then Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olive Mugenda was credited with transforming the institution to international standards. Little did people know that this rapid transformation would one day come back to haunt the great institution.
Kenyatta university is now sinking into debts and members of parliament at one point had to ask the treasury to allocate Sh1.6 billion to the University’s hospital to trigger the release of undisbursed loan owed to the Chinese government to operationalise the training facility.
