Revealed: Foul Play in former KBC journalist wife’s death

30th October 2018 was a difficult day for former KBC journalist Milton Nyakundi after his wife, the late Rebecca Njoki drowned in River Nanyuki, Laikipia county at about 10:30pm. ​

According to Laikipia County Police Commander Simon Kipkeu, Njoki, was in company of two other friends and were heading to Nanyuki town from the Nanyuki Police Station canteen where they were having drinks when she met her untimely death.

Today, a shocking report from a recent post-mortem raising more questions than answers. According to the post-mortem,  the wife of the former KBC journalist could have been attacked before being pushed into River Nanyuki where she drowned.

According to Mr Nyakundi, the post-mortem revealed that his wife, Rebecca suffered head injuries indicating that she may have been hit on the head before she met her death.

“Too many questions remain unanswered because she may have been hit unconscious before being pushed to the river but we leave everything to the almighty God for vengeance belongs to Him,” he wrote.

Laikipia East Police boss Mutoro Kizito, said that investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death of the mother of two on are ongoing.

“I have not seen the postmortem report because I have been overseeing the KCSE exams but we are still conducting into the incident,” he said.

The two friends have since been questioned by the police to assist in the ongoing investigations.

In an emotional tribute posted on social media, Mr Nyakundi described his wife as a caring, loving and dedicated mother.
