Lugari Member of Parliament Ayub Savula has put up his land located in Ilemit area off Kiserian-Magadi Road in Kajiado County for auctioning.
The 54.49-acre piece of land is estimated to have a current market value of Ksh55 million.
Reports revealed that he had used the property to borrow Ksh15 million from a local bank to purchase a Range Rover.
He acquired a brand new custom made Mercedes Benz at approximately Ksh22 million soon after his election into Parliament.
It seems like the MP is bankrupt after bailing himself and his family out.
MP Savula was arrested early this week by the DCI officers in Nairobi with his two wives barely months after President Uhuru Kenyatta vowed to deal with corrupt individual in the government, another corrupt legistature spends night in Muthaiga police station.
However the MP was released along side his two wives on cash bail of Ksh 1millon or Ksh Ksh 2million bond with a surety of the similar amount.
The three pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to commit fraud in the Government Advertising Agency scandal case.
Now the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji has ordered for the prosecution of Lugari MP Ayub Savula and his wives , Melody Gatwiri Ringera and Helen Jepkorir Kemboi for obtaining money by false pretenses from the Government Advertising Agency.
The three are directors of seven companies that fraudulently received monies allocated for legitimate media houses that have provided advertising services to the government.
Their companies are; Sunday Publishers, Melsav Company, Johnnewton Communications, Express Media Group, No Burns Protection Agencies, Cross Continents Ventures and Shieldlock Ltd.
The MP and his wives will not be allowed to travel outside the country and that their passports will be presented at the DCI Headquarters tomorrow by 5PM.
Savula had in May proposed that suspects in Sh 1 billion and above graft cases be publicly executed.
