Nairobi is a party nation. Each and every day people are out having fun. At least you can’t miss a punch of people partying even if it is on a Monday in the city.

Partying and clubbing is the nature of the city. The clubs are characterized by loud music, loud shouts from people who are having fun.

Governor Mike Sonko has ordered for the closure of all night clubs, bars and entertainment joints within Nairobi estates during the national examination period.

In a statement on Wednesday, Sonko directed NEMA, the Nairobi County Liquor Control Board and security agencies to ensure noise in estates is minimized.

Speaking to the Star on Phone, NEMA director for enforcement Njoki Mukiri said they will comply with Sonko’s directive.

“The mandate is fully under City Hall officials and we will assist them enforce this,” she said.

The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education commenced on Tuesday and will be completed Thursday.

KCSE exam theory papers start on November 5 and end on November 29.
