Shock as KCPE Candidate dies after first day of exams

A 14 year old girl KCPE candidate from Mwiting’iri primary school in Gatanga passed on on Wednesday after having fallen sick as she sat for her exams.

The school’s head teacher Lydia Mwangi has said that on noting her condition , she call her parents who took her to Thika level 5 hospital and the started organising on how she can her examination from the hospital today but reports from local administration confirmed that the girl had passed on at around 4-5am today.

Yesterday she was very ill, was lifted from room and parents were called to come and take child to hospital of what they did.

This incident has also been confirmed by Gatanga sub county director of education Koigi Karugu.

The incident is reported as the minister for water and irrigation Simon Chelgui tours Kirwara CCF secondary school and Mwinting’iri primary school in Gatanga ,where the incident happened.

The mission for the CS is to encourage the students on the continued KCPE examinations.

Chelgui urged students and invigilators to conducts the examinations in a fare and free manner.

The CS said he is satisfied on how the examination are being carried on , government being the back bone of the same success.

The girl is said to have had rabbies disease.
