Kenyan comedian Chipukeezy has today made a surprise visit to Kalonzo Muyoka’s home. This comes days after the Wiper Party leader lost his father Mr Mairu.
“I earlier today offered my condolences to Hon Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka for the loss of his father Mr. Peter Mairu.
May he Rest In Peace and May God grant Hon. Kalonzo and family strength and peace at this time of mourning…” Chipukeezy wrote in the photos he shared
On Monday, Deputy President William Ruto was accompanied by other leaders to visit Kalonzo at his Karen home after the passing on of Mzee Mairu on Sunday.
Mairu died at 4:30 am on Sunday at the Nairobi Hospital where he was undergoing treatment. “Ruto also hinted that the President will also be visiting the family to deliver his personal message and that of the country,” Kalonzo’s press secretary Dennis Kavisu said in a statement.
Kalonzo has appreciated the company of friends and all those who have shown support by sending him condolences. This was captured in his tweet when he sent a message of gratitude thanking the Deputy President for paying him a visit.
“Thank you @WilliamsRuto for condoling with us, this is very comforting, political differences should never divide us as a people.”
Kenyans have continued to share their messages of comfort awaiting for the burial..
