Every day is mothers day no debate. This morning Kenyans on twitter flooded social media with heart warming messages to their mothers. Women who sacrifice so much and serve as an anchor to their children. Mothers who are selfless and always there for their children no matter what. Not my words, but mostly it was more of appreciating the Kenyan mums. Not forgetting that they are full of drama as well…
Mother’s Day is a celebration honoring the mother of the family, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society.
It is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, most commonly in the months of March or May.
But today the calendar rules do not apply.. we do not have to wait for those months to say something to our moms or even fathers..when we have something pushing us.. no holding back.
I am sure we all have seen several sides of our mothers.. from the mother who always has your back to the savage.
There is always a dominant character but we can’t rule out that some would fall in all these categories
1.When your mother is a foodie
Weddings, funerals ,parties have proved that our Kenyan moms have a very interesting trait. I have heard of cases where mothers used to carry food in paper bags not even the ban can stop them they walk with containers these days.
But not just that they are also known for preparing meals with a touch of love
You don’t know happiness until your mum is in charge of food and drinks at a ceremony ???#ThanksMum

2.The mother of all discipline
No Kenyan will fail to recognize these weapons. It is either she used one of these or you ever got a beating from all.
#ThanksMum for using these tools to shape behaviors that we have today pic.twitter.com/37QWjqcO3U

3.Mother who always got your back
They are our friends and when things go south we all know where to go
Best friends come and go, boyfriends and girlfriends love and move on, bosses hire and fire but the only person present through it all is a mother. Thanks for always being there for me. #ThanksMum
