Lessons Learnt from Otile and Vera’s break up

Kenyans are so fast when it comes to note down the key points after something goes viral. The recent break up has attracted a lot of reactions from fans since Otile and Vera have always been in the limelight, first for individually being public figures but also for being a couple that made their love a  public affair.

Their break up according  to Vera came after Otile Brown had asked Vera Sidika to give him money so that he gets to buy a new Mercedes.

“He needed 500,000 Ksh and I told him that I did not have money at that time. He asked me to give  him money two days after we got back together” Vera Sidika said

He had earlier asked me to give him a second chance and I believe in second chances…

“When he asked for money I started asking myself questions and that is why I decided to tell him that I did not have the money”.

Vera says that maybe Otile Brown only came back for the money but he is glad she was smart enough to know his intentions.

Here are some of the lessons that Kenyans have learnt

1. A car is not a basic need

It makes no sense to take a loan so that you can buy a car yet you are not sure whether you will be able to manage it. Vera explained that if it was an emergency she would have thought about it.

2. Keep your relationship as private as you can

It will save you the pressure, the explanations and the public embarrassment. However your account your rules and anyone is free to decide. But if the two had kept it private. Otile could have been spared from the public humiliation. It is not just on matters relationship sometimes we share too much details on social media that people can use to bite us back.

3. Talent is important but being smart is more important

No one should feel that the only way they would thrive is when they are linked to someone else. Everyone can excel on their own.

Kenyans have advised Otile Brown to now focus on his talent other than getting involved in unnecessary drama that is an embarrassment and damage to his ego.

4. Do not accept to be used

The moment you realize that someone is using you and they do not genuinely love you. You always have a choice to let go. Whether it is love or friendship. Do not allow to be drained emotionally or financially.

5.  Some girls feel offended when men ask for money.

Know your girlfriend, know what offends her to avoid drama over issues that could have been avoided.

Another interpretation of this according to Kenyans is that ladies can ask for money from men but men cannot ask for money from them.

Well in my opinion I feel is depends on what you agree upon as a couple

Relationships are give and take..Whether it is finances or communication.. but it is always up to you..and what you are ready to sign up for
