Kitui County opens first Textile center

Kitui Governor  Charity Ngilu opens first ever county-owned state of the art textile company in Kitui which is expected to curb unemployment in the county.

The Governor took to her social media to announce the good news to Kenya since Kitui County Textile Centre(KICOTEC) will ‘not only benefit Kitui.

 

Kitu County  once played host to The Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission (EACC) which has embarked on a countrywide Corruption Risk Assessment programme.

The programme which  intented to assist put in place strong systems of work to help counties and other government institutions comply with the law and laid down procedures.

The body endevours to empower government institutions to identify and prevent corruption in all government institutions in the country.

The exercise was expected to help  seal corruption loopholes and streamlining service delivery to the people of Kitui and Kenya at large.

Governor Ngilu said,”We are fight corruption and ensure the taxpayers get the value for their money.”

“I urge county staff members to shun any attempt to mismanage county resources as that breeds inefficiency in service delivery in government institutions.”She added.

She further explained that Kitui County  is transforming every new day. We have a call to improve livelihoods of our people through an all round developmentImage result for congratulations meme funny.

 

Sustained development can only be achieved in a corruption free environment and we are committed to root out the vice.

Governor Ngilu is among the few female governors in the Country.
