Celebrate Kenyan Comedia Eric Omondi has received backlash from his fans over details regarding his wedding.
Fans have been mounted pressure on the said comedian to finally marry his fiancée Chantal Grazioli. Its been like two years since the two got engaged.
Eric pooped the big question on a beach on a Valentines and Kenyans think it’s about time he married her.
Responding earlier to the pressure being mounted on him, Eric said that people should watch wedding shows, go to church or marry their own girlfriends and leave him alone.
According to Eric ,“Waende wawatch wedding show, kuna maharusi mingi huko sana, ama waende church ama waoe. Sasa si nyinyi muoe madame wenu?”
But he is now singing a different tune. Speaking during an interview with Mzazi Willy M Tuva on Radio Citizen the comedian disclosed that the two will officially become man and wife in September 2019.
“I know we have dated for long and time is ripe for me to put on that ring and very soon, though it will not be this year rest assured September 2019 we shall have exchanged vows. I have consulted from both sides and Chantal’s mother is a great friend of mine,” said Eric Omondi.
Since their engagement, the two have been making plans for the wedding including meeting his future in-laws.
The comedian recently won the Best African Comedian Award at the 4th annual African Entertainment Awards in the USA.
To bag the coveted award, Eric beat the likes of Nigerian Basket Mouth, Ugandan Salvado among other top rib ticklers in the continent.
The comedian started seeing Chantal in early 2015 after splitting up with Citizen TV presenter Jacque Maribe, whose four-year-old son he is rumoured to have fathered.
The news anchor alongside his boyfriend Joseph Irungu alias ‘Jowie’ are currently facing murder charges for the brutal murder of South Sudan based businesswoman Monica Kimani.
