If you walk around Nairobi City you won’t miss a city preacher. The city preachers have specific spots they go to walk to spread their good news.

They don’t preach all the time. They have specific time that they choose to go to the streets to win the souls.

You won’t miss notice them around market place, resting places , stage matatus around the city. Right now they are expanding their roots to even other areas.

When city preachers see kanjo

If you walk past Uhuru Park, this is the hotbed of city preachers.

Although some people have accused the city preachers to be interested in only collecting money from the people around the city. Some have even be termed as con – preachers who impersonate as preachers just to collect offerings from the busy Nairobi town.

Everything is now turning upside down as the city has decided to make tough conditions for them. With the introduction of tough county rules, most City preachers are on the run because they can’t keep up with the rules.

Right now for someone to be allowed to preach in the city for you have to pay to ‘Kanjo.’ Some are even required to have licences to be allowed to continue spreading their gospel to the people of Nairobi.

Most are considering doing it outside the CBD as the least Kanjo requests to allow them continue with their ministries is not less than ksh,2000.

This conditions are tough for most of them as they are in the city trying to make ends meet. Raising that much is hectic to them.
