Greedy pastors threaten ‘notorious believers’ over tithe

Controversial pastors are now pleading with the government to help them extend the fight against corruption in the churches. This set of pastors believe that non tithers are among the notorious believers and need to be dealt with as it should be.

What triggered them to send this request to the government?

The pastors believe that they pray for us, they spend a lot of time meditating on scriptures some even lamented that they go without lunch sometimes for the sake of their flock yet this does not seem to be appreciated.

Tithe is one tenth of annual produce or earnings, formerly taken as a tax for the support of the Church and clergy. The scriptures has in many instances been misinterpreted especially when it comes to the point of giving.

Everyone is entitled to choose their believes and  what I personally belief is that as a pastor it appears so desperate to have to push believers to this extent for the sake of taming their tithe habits.

This request comes months after President Uhuru Kenyatta declared that he will be committed to this war on what is believed to earn him legacy.

At some point, Kenyatta said that he was ready to lose more friends in the current war against corruption. These pastors might have seen this new zeal and thought that it should not go to waste.

Many cases have been told of Pastors draining their flock financially and this culture seems to have gotten firm roots.

We are living during a tough economy  where everyone is struggling to make a shilling. Which is quite surprising because I heard from a friend that pastors do not pay taxes or do they? Unless they are self employed. If you thought that you have seen it all, well there is more coming.

Years have changed and the direction in which these churches are heading to, sometimes it  makes me feel that some of these pastors are misleading instead of leading.

It is now a business and has turned into an easy money making industry… worse even is to see that some are even using it to con and brainwash people who innocently need help.

At this rate, If this is where our churches are to, if you profess Christianity as your religion, be careful of where you seek fellowship every Sunday. Stay woke.
