AFC Leopards defender Robinson Kamura has signed a contract extension ahead of the 2018/19 Kenyan Premier League set for early December.

The defender has added two more years to his current contract. He joined AFC Leopards in January 2017 alongside Whyvonne Isuza after their contracts at Mathare United expired.

Leopards are confident that the defender will play a major role in the coming season as they continue the chase for silverware.

“We’re delighted to announce that defender Robinson Kamura has signed a new long-term deal with the club. The towering defender has signed a 2-year extension to his current contract and his experience will help us chase for top honors when the new season kicks off,” reads a statement by Leopards.

Kamura’s stay is a boost to Leopards whose major problem has been conceding goals. The side let in 48 goals in the 2018 campaign and scored 47. They will, however, hope that he stays fit through the season to provide the required cover.

AFC Leopards have already lost striker Alex Orotomal while skipper Duncan Otieno is also on the list of those likely to quit the club.
