Weeks ago , while held at industrial area remand prison, details emerged of the lavish life Migori Governor Okoth Obado is living .
According to Citizen Digital, Governor Obado was said to be locked up in a comfortable VIP wing in the remand prison.
Reports indicate that Obado who was sharing the room with two other murder suspects was given good food that comes from outside the prison and he had a regular supply of clean blankets and mattresses.
It is said that given his position, an officer in the rank of a sergeant had been assigned to attend to the Migori Governor at all times.
He was also said to have access to guests who visit him at the remand Prison including his employees from Migori County.
On Tuesday however , Migori governor Okoth Obado got unexpected visitors from Parliament.
Reports indicate that Obado was not receiving any special treatment and was found mingling with other inmates.
Members of the Parliamentary Committee on Security chaired by Kiambaa MP Paul Koinage met Obado donned in prison clothes in a tiny room.
“I shouldn’t be here. On the day Sharon died, I was in Nairobi. I have nothing to do with her death,” he told the MPs.
A video has since gone viral showing the stae of the situation where Okoth obado was staying in the weeks he was held up at the remand prison he went further to dismiss claims that he was living a lavish life
