Migori Governor, Okoth Obado is now a free man after High Court Judge, Jessie Lessit made a ruling that granted the governor bail.
Mr. Obado, had been in police custody since his arrest on September 21, 2018 in connection with the murder of Migori University student and the governors girlfriend, Sharon Otieno and her unborn baby. The late Sharon Otieno was seven months pregnant with Obado’s child when she met her untimely death.
Sharon was abducted and murdered, her body was found in a thicket lying in cold blood with her underwear and condoms around her showing signs of rape. Both Sharon and her unborn baby were stabbed to death.
Like Sharon’s family, KOT are now angry at the court’s decision to grant Obado bail as he was considered the main suspect. The governor was released on a Ksh. 5 million cash bail, while the two co-accused, Michael Oyamo and Caspal Obiero were denied bail.

What's sickening is not the release of Governor Okoth Obado and the obvious suspicion that his freedom may be the end of this Sharon Otieno's case BUT morally scummy sycophants singing outside the Milimani Court. This country is not deprived of idiocy. What are they celebrating? pic.twitter.com/QUT000MOlp
