Raila is harvesting, now feted as ‘Person of the year in Africa.’

Kenyan Chief Opposition and Now the African Union Special Envoy, in charge of Infrastructure, Raila Odinga voted the greatest persona of the year.

The Times defined Mr Odinga as a statesman whose efforts in Kenya and entire Africa cannot be ignored.

In their Statement, The Times pointed out special cases and occurrences Mr Odinga has been involved before.

The Rt. Hon Raila Odinga is the father of democracy in Kenya, he fought for multi party system till it happened.

He was also among the pioneers of the new Constitution Kenya is using, that has seen Kenya grow rapidly since 2010″ part of the statement read.

In other areas, the Times also identified the recent occurrences where Odinga came together with Uhuru Kenyatta his rival for sake of peace and unity.

In an initiative the two called, ‘Building Bridges’ they promised to eradicate tribalism in the country.

Other leaders across Africa named in the report included, Bobi Wine, who was named the Youngest Agent of Change in Africa.

The late Wangari Maathai, named as Historic Woman of this Century, Kassai Kaseilm of Namibia named as Most Prolific political speaker.

This comes as Raila is in US where he is expected to offer a public lecture.
