The Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga who is also a guest in the Mashujaa Day celebration that is to held in Kakamega has received a lot of heckles on social media after wishing Kenyans a happy Mashujaa Day.
Mr. @RailaOdinga: Practice what you preach. I was born in Kenya, just like you. I have never renounced my Kenyan citizenship. I was your senior most adviser from 2008-2011. I vied for the position of governor in 2017. Fight for JUSTICE; not HandCheques! #MashujaaDay2018 #Mashujaa

Mr. Raila Odinga decided to have a handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta few months ago to end their political rivalry and unite Kenyans who were split after the 2018 both August and the repeat Presidential election that was held in January which Raila boycotted.
The handshake has since calmed down the political heat that was rising in the country after Raila and other NASA leaders decided to swear him as the Peoples’ President. The swearing in ceremony was presided by the self declared National Resistance Movement General Dr. Miguna Miguna and overseen by Lawyer T.J Kajwang at Uhuru Park.

The series of events followed including the arresting of T.J Kajwang and Miguna Miguna. The state also shut down the TV stations that aired the event live from Uhuru Park for over a week.
I just feel hate Kenya coz of the handshake

What followed Miguna Miguna who was the vocal of the team that led the swearing in ceremony was deported back to Canada in a brutal way. His attempt to return to the country proved futile as he was blocked from entering the country and again sent back to Canada.
bring back our hero miguna miguna so tha u enjoy respect of being called big names like Baba….miguna is our patriot that we have seen before…#migunamigunaKenyan

Since the handshake most people have criticized Raila Odinga who has since remained silence and has never fought for the return of Miguna Miguna who was born in Kenya. Miguna claims that Citizenship by birth is never revoked.
You cannot say men because you know we'll ask about @MigunaMiguna.

Most Social media users have trolled Raila for giving a blind eye on this matter.
Babaa ,people of Gem are suffering, @MoiUniversityKe Odera Akango campus needed money to increase it’s intake but nothing was done yet this was helping the economy of the place. Are you aware it was shut down and yala is now a dead town.Handshake fruits?@RasangaGov visit Baba

Some are referring to the handshake as merely a handcheque.
