Ulinzi Squad for Shield playoffs against AFC Leopards

Ulinzi Stars Head coach Dunstan Nyaudo has named his squad that will tackle AFC Leopards in the Shield third-place playoff match set for Saturday 20 October at Moi International Sports Center, Kasarani (MISC).

Omar Mbongi is absent due to injury and he joins  Oscar Wamalwa, Hassan Mohamed, Geoffrey Kokoyo, Mark Bikokwa and Justin Onuonga who are also injured.

Mbongi’s place has been taken by George Omondi. Omondi will join the defence that consists of Hamisi Abdalla, Boniface Andayi and Oliver Rutto. The midfield has Bernard Ongoma and Daniel Waweru.

On the flanks, the coach has deployed Churchill Muloma and Omar Boraafya while Elvis Nandwa has been tasked to support Elijah Mwanzia upfront.

Ulinzi Stars missed out on the finals spot after a 4-0 loss to Kariobangi Sharks. They have set the sights on the third place spot where the winner is expected to take home ksh 750,000 while the fourth-placed team will get 500,000.

Final Clash 

This will be Ulinzi Stars final match of 2018 season campaign, in the Kenyan Premier League season, they managed a fourth-place finish after amassing 54 points from 34 matches.
