“Kakamega walinipea bibi,” DP Ruto tells western people

Deputy President William Ruto on Saturday October 20, 2018 said that it is Kakamega county and western region at large that gave him a wife.

Speaking during Mshujaa day celebrations at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega County on Saturday, DP Ruto said that he got his wife, Rachael Ruto from Kakamega, Likuyani constituent.

Ruto said that Rachael was born and brought up in the precious County of Kakamega.

He said his wife schooled at Likuyani primary before proceeding to Butere Girls High School for her form one to form six education.

The DP thanked Kakamega residents for their generosity and peace keeping nature, citing that he always feel at home whenever he tours the county.

He further said the government was working to ensure that national development projects are initiated in the area to meet President Uhuru Kenyatta’s big four agenda.

Confirming to the President the progress of the development projects, Ruto cited that the notorious contractors on Kisumu-Kakamega-Webuye Kitale highway had been chased away and the project handed over to a new contractor who was doing well.

He also said that CT scan machines had been installed Kakamega County Referral Hospital as part of Uhuru’s big four agenda.

He was also delighted to have been joined by other delegated leaders among then the Namibian President Hage Geingob, President Kenyatta, former prime minister Raila Odinga, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka among many other political leaders.
