Kalasha Awards 2018:Will Churchill Show clinch the best TV comedy?

Kalasha Awards is set is set to unveil to unveil the nominees in Kalasha film and TV awards today. The is set to be held in prestige plaza Nairobi where the different talents both in TV and the film industry in Kenya are set to be recognized.

Kalasha Awards. Kalasha International Awards is an annual accolade presented by Kenya Film Commission. Entries into the award ceremony are films and TV series that have been aired on Kenyan television stations. The inaugural awards were held in 2010 and subsequent awards are held yearly at the last quarter of the year.

Churchill show hopes to be accolades as it has been ranked to have many viewers on Sunday. The show which has been on air for quite a while is the godfather of many comedy shows in the country. The show which was propounded by Charles Ndambuki,” Churchill” is on the higher chances of bagging another recognition. The shows bring comedian from different areas and has live recording in different parts of Kenya which makes it prominent among the Kenyan people.

The Kalasha awards are usually presented by the Kenya Film Commission.

The picking of the winners in various categories has been made public where any person can log in and vote for the Film or TV show which they are satisfied that is the best in the area or a particular category.

The number of voting is not limited as any person can vote as many times as they wish for the category or the nominated talent.

This comes as the number of Films and TV series done by Kenyans continue receiving international recognition. Rafiki for instance got picked to participate in the Oscars this year but failed because of government measures  which had banned the showing of the movie because of the content which was said to be encouraging homosexual relationships in Kenya.
