Former State House spokesman Manoah Esipisu is among those who drafted congratulatory messages to Kanze Dena after her promotion at State House.
Today, even more celebration and pride after she earned a promotion at State House, barely six weeks after accepting the role of deputy State House spokesperson.
The President’s decision was conveyed in a brief statement to the media this afternoon by State House Chief of Staff Nzioka Waita who wished Ms Dena success and called on all stakeholders to support the new PSCU head success.
“We wish Ms. Dena success in her new role and ask all stakeholders including PSCU staff, the media and colleagues in Government to accord her the support she needs to excel,” the statement read. Ms. Kanze, a career broadcast journalist, takes over from Mr Manoah Esipisu who was appointed Kenya’s envoy to the United Kingdom in July this year.
Before her elevation to the helm of the President’s communication team, Ms Dena was the acting Spokesperson, a role she assumed over 3 months ago. In June this year, Ms Dena was appointed to a newly created position of Deputy State House Spokesperson and Deputy Head of PSCU.
Kanze becomes the first female State House Spokesperson and Head of PSCU in the history of Kenya and her elevation is in line with President Kenyatta’s recent public appointments in which the Head of State has appointed high achieving women to key positions in his government among them the first ever woman Aide-de-Camp, Lt. Col. Rachel Nduta Kamui of the Kenya Airforce.
I have all the reasons to believe that Kanze Dena is among the top on the list of the most admired Kenyan Media Personality. Her story of humble beginning and endless favor continues to touch many and although those of the rare opinion would say otherwise a greater percentage has shown love and pride in her.
Following this announcement, Kanze Dena was showered with messages of praise as people congratulated her.

You must admit that Kanze Dena beats the former PSCU boss in two things; she is more articulate and better looking. That said, mr. Esipisu was also equal to the task. Congratulations Kanze. pic.twitter.com/fi9chFCG0t
