Embakasi East legislator Babu Owino will host his Ugandan counterpart Bobi Wine for a rally at Jacaranda grounds on Saturday.

According to Babu, the rally is set to begin at exactly 1pm. Babu however did not reveal the agenda of the rally. He announced the rally on his Facebook page.

Bobi Wine is in the country for a five day visit on the invitation of the Embakasi East MP. The two were hosted by Jeff Koinange on the JKLive on Citizen TV on Wednesday night where they extensively discussed the youth in African politics.

On Thursday, Bobi Wine visited the Kenya Parliament on the invitation of his host.

They were later hosted to a dinner by the Kenya Human Rights Commission.

Bobi Wine has captured the attention of the world by standing up to Uganda’s dictator President Yoweri Museveni.

He was arrested in August at a political rally in Arua and detained in military court where he was tortured by Museveni’s soldiers. His arrest caused an uproar on social media and in the streets of Kampala with chants of #FreeBobiWine bringing the Ugandan capital to a stand still.

In an interview on Citizen Television on Wednesday night, he said he believes the Ugandan president’s mind has been corrupted by those who surround him since they shower him with empty praise.

According to Mr Kyagulanyi, institutions and leadership in his country are failing because the people who surround Mr Museveni are his relatives and tribesmen.

“It has been said before that power corrupts, absolutely, I believe he is drunk with power. He has been convinced by those who surround him that he is a god of sorts,” said Mr Kyagulanyi.

The Ugandan popstar musician, will be hosted by Power 254 courtesy of activist Boniface Mwangi at Ufungamano house on Friday at 5pm.

He will wind up his Kenyan visit in Kibera on Sunday. According to Mwangi, Ghetto will join the likes Octopizo and Juliani for a free Ghetto concert in the slum area.
