Revealed! Maribe’s Boyfriend Stole Laptops in Dubai

Joseph Irungu, the embattled boyfriend of Citizen TV Journalist is alleged to have made away with several laptops and computers from his colleagues in Dubai where he was working.

The new development could mean the man has been coating controversy everywhere he has gone, as he is now the main suspect of Ms. Monica Kimani’s murder.

According to sources, Jowie, as he is fondly called by friends and family, worked at Fairmont Hotels and Resort in the United Arab Emirates as a security guard. He was fired after a series of ‘warnings over his unbecoming behavior.

“He had received several warning letters,” said the source, who requested anonymity. “He worked at the hotel for only seven months before he was fired” for gross misconduct.

Mr Irungu, the source added, had been caught with alcohol in the staff quarters, which is a criminal offence in Dubai. He received a warning for the offence, but the management grew weary of him when, one day, he was caught inside a guest’s room.

Guards do not usually gain access to guests’ rooms, and Mr Irungu was hard-pressed to explain what he was doing there.

While he managed to explain his way back into employment on these two occasions, Jowie was finally sacked after he was caught inside staff quarters restricted to women.

The source claimed that, this is the time when Jowi made away with several laptops belonging to his colleagues from the staff quarters.

Jowi and Maribe were arraigned at the High Court on Tuesday to be charged with the murder of Monica, which happened on 19th September in her apartment along Denis Pritt road in Kilimani.

Earlier on, the DPP had directed that the two be charged with murder.

“I am satisfied that there exists a prima facie case to warrant criminal prosecution … for the offence murder contrary to section 203 as read with section 204 of the Penal Code.

“I have therefore directed that they be immediately arraigned before the High Court and charged accordingly,” the statement read.
