Stupid or Desperate? How Maribe Accepted to Marry Jowi Before Meeting his Parents

Citizen TV journalist Jacque Maribe accepted to marry murder suspect ‘Jowi’ Irungu before even meeting his parents. Was she dumb or just desperate.

According to Jowi’s father, his son just told him on the phone that he was getting married to the journalist and he gave them the go ahead.

It is also understood that Maribe never knew where Jowi lived. After the proposal, the couple have been staying together at Jacque’s house.

Some people also wonder why Jacque was dating a man who was slightly younger than her since according to records, Jowi did his KCSE exams in 2011. Maribe started working for K24 in 2009, at a time when Jowi is supposed to have been in form two.

It is also alleged that, Jowi is “boastful, controlling, manipulative and with anger issues.” According to a soure close ti Maribe’s family, one day Jacque’s father asked him for bride price and he gave a rude reply.

According to family members, Jowi  was known to splash her with flowers, drive her to and from work, in between spoiling her as young lovers do.

After her engagement, she posted their photos and message on her social media pages stating that, “We’ve been together for a while now. We are growing stronger everyday now, it feels so good and there’s no doubt I will stay with you… through the ups and downs… when no one else is around, and when the dark clouds arise, I will stay by your side, I know we’ll be alright, I will stay with you (sic)…”

Little did she know that the man she promised to be their for when the dark clouds arise would drag her to prison with him over a high profile murder case.

The journalist is also on the verge of losing her job as Royal Media Service have send her on compulsory leave. Citizen TV has also distanced itself from her. All this for love.
