Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp maintains he is not concerned by Mohamed Salah’s recent dip in form ahead of Sunday’s Premier League summit meeting against Manchester City.

The Egypt international shattered numerous records during last season’s 44-goal stellar campaign, but has found the going tougher this time around.

Salah has scored just three goals in 10 appearances this term and only one in his last seven games. The 26-year-old was hauled off with his side trailing at Stamford Brdige last weekend, before Daniel Sturridge’s injury-time equaliser, and was virtually anonymous during the midweek Champions League defeat at Napoli.

The German said, “Expectation has changed that’s normal, he set a new standard. He  scored in the of the four games he played against City last season. Nobody expected 10 goals after five, six, seven games. Each striker could write a book about these moments, scoring without knowing how. It’s so rare. 98% of a striker is the hardest work, 2% is the easy going stuff. The only thing which has changed is the kind of questions you have asked. It was a surprise, now it isn’t. That’s the world. ‘If I win games, I know everything. If I lose three in a row, I know nothing. Both are not true. I’m relaxed about that.”
