A thief who disguised himself as a student this morning found it rough in the streets of Nairobi after being nabbed by an angry mob for allegedly stealing a mobile phone from a woman near Jamia Mosque.
The thief dressed in school uniform had a hard time trying to prove that he is a student and the school he attends. Angered by this, the mob started hitting him on the face with some demanding for his father’s phone number.
A while back, the Nairobi county government formed a special squad that is expected to deal with the marauding gangs that have terrorized Nairobians for a long time now.
The County Government also highlighted the top five crime hotspots in CBD and the peak hours. They are;
1. Temple Road
2. Hatika Road
3. Railways Terminus- Hailee Selassie Avenue
4. KTDA Moi Avenue
5. Racecourse Road
The peak hours for the crimes were also revealed as from 4 am to 6 am and 7 pm to 11 pm.
