Paul Pogba was spotted shouting at Romelu Lukaku for his lack of movement during Manchester United’s clash against Valencia – and fans “have had enough”. The Red Devils drew the Champions League clash 0-0 at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

Lukaku put in a thoroughly dismal performance and looked lethargic throughout. At one point Pogba was keen for his team-mate to create some space for him to pass to but the Belgian didn’t move. Pogba responded by berating the striker – and it didn’t go unnoticed.

Romelu Lukaku is causing a problem for his Manchester United teammates due to his lack of movement, according to Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes. United laboured to a goalless draw against Valencia in the Champions League on Tuesday evening and struggled to create clear-cut chances against their Spanish opponents at Old Trafford.

Lukaku has scored four goals in nine appearances so far this season but Ferdinand and Scholes believe the Belgian is ‘easy to play against’ due to the lack of runs in makes in attack. ‘Lukaku is so easy to mark at the minute, he’s static,’ Ferdinand told BT Sport. ‘He needs to make defenders think, he needs to start moving in behind, making your defender change position and change eyeline.’

Scholes added: ‘I don’t think these players realise how much of a threat they can be. ‘Look at the size of him, how quick he is.

As Rio said, he’s just so static, he’s easy to play against. We could have played centre-half against him tonight. ‘When he’s up for it, running into channels, barging people out of the way, he can finish as well. ‘They need to realise what their strengths are and go out on the pitch and perform.’

AS IF nothing else could go wrong for Manchester United, their star players are now tackling themselves.
