Mandzukic replaces Ronaldo in Juventus line up to face Young Boys

Juventus will be hoping to secure a big victory over Young Boys in their second Champions League clash of the campaign despite the absence of their main man.

Cristiano Ronaldo is suspended after being sent off against Valencia following a collision with Jeison Murillo in their European opener.

The 33-year-old star left the field in tears with his hopes of a return to face Manchester United at Old Trafford in doubt.

Those fears have been allayed after it was confirmed he would only serve a one-game ban.

Juventus must still replace their big summer signing for the Young Boys game at the Allianz Stadium.

Fernando Bernardeschi is the most likely contender to step into the starting XI and will be deployed on the right wing.

The Italian ace will be joined by Champions League veteran Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala in the front three, with the latter set to start on the left flank.

Douglas Costa’s suspension has made replacing Ronaldo a tougher task, but Max Allegri will be confident his side can grind out a victory regardless.
