Even Zidane can’t rescue dead Manchester United! Here is why

Louis Saha does not believe the former Real Madrid boss could solve the current problems at Old Trafford

Zinedine Zidane would not be the answer to Manchester United’s problems, according to former Red Devil Louis Saha.

The former  Real Madrid boss has been linked with a move to Old Trafford to replace under fire manager Jose Mourinho.

The Red Devils face Valencia on Tuesday off the back of a disastrous defeat to  Manuel Pellegrini’s WestHam  in the Premier League.

And a defeat could push Mourinho closer to the edge, but Saha insists Zidane does not have the magic formula to save such a dysfunctional team.

Saha said, “You expect a lot from the manager. It’s been really difficult this year, more than the others. Defensive football has always been Mourinho’s strength, but offensively they don’t seem to have a clue right now. It’s a pity. How long will he stay? It’s up to the results. When you see the team playing this way, any club in the world with this size and this history, you have a lot of pressure and you have to find a solution pretty quickly and I hope they do it. But with this team, whatever manager is going to come is going to have the same issue. It’s a lot of work for whoever comes.”

The United legend continued, “Zidane? He would want to pick a big team with big players, at Real Madrid he had a team of Galacticos but it’s a different set up at Manchester United. He would have a lot of coaching to do, more than just management.”

United thrashed Young Boys in the Champions League opener and will look to beat Valencia to ease the pressure on Mourinho with a double header vs  Juventus to come in Game Week Three and Four.
