Mututho urges President Kenyatta to oppose Marijuana Bill

Former NACADA Chairman John Mututho has urged president Uhuru Kenyatta to reject any bill seeking to legalize the use of cannabis sativa should it land in his office.

This comes day after a letter addressed to National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi dated September 21, Okoth further wants all criminal records against Kenyans with past convictions of marijuana be withdrawn and amnesty measures instituted.

Speaking on Thursday at his JOMEC rehabilitation centre Mututho said it was shameful for a two-time Member of Parliament who is aware of the effects of cannabis sativa to draft such a Bill.

Mututho had earlier mentioned that the bill aims at decriminalizing the growth and use of Bhang.
