10 more days of ‘sukuma wiki’ for Obado

There is no reprieve for Migori Governor Okoth Obado as the High Court postponed the ruling on his bail application for 10 more days to 8th October, 2018.

In her ruling, Justice Lessit noted that the court could not determine his bail application before all the witness statements are in court.

The new latest development, means that the governor would have spend 12 days at Industrial Area Police Station by the time the ruling is made.

And Obado will have a familiar friend while in remand, as justice Jessie Lessit also send his Personal Assistant, Caspal Obiero to the same remand.  Both will have their applications heard on the same day.

The governor and his two aides are being charged with the heinous murder of Sharon Belyne Otieno, who was found dead in a thicket in Kodera forest early this month.

An investigation has revealed that the governor was having an affair with the 26 year old Rongo University student.
