The Main suspect in the murder of Monica Kimani, Joseph Irungu was seen in a series of pictures nursing a gunshot which surfaced online hours after her was arrested.
In the photos Irungu is seen sitting on a hospital Bed, while wearing an arm sling with his gunshot wound open.
Mr Irungu who happens to be Citizen TV’s Jacque Maribe fiance was arrested after Police traced his phone at Monica’s Apartments along Dennis Pritt Road before she the gruesome murder.
According to Joe’s version of the Story, he was shot while dropping his girlfriend Jacque Maribe at her Royal Park Estate residence where three men on a motorcycle were waiting at the gate.
Following the Incident, police questioned the Citizen TV anchor, who confessed to the police that she drove Irungu to Nairobi West hospital on Friday after he was shot.
However, Neighbours said that they didn’t hear any gunshots and police couldn’t find cartridges at the scene, which raised detective’s suspicion on his story.
Ms Kimani was found slaughtered and her body dumped inside a bathtub at her house in Kilimani last week on Friday.
The lifeless body of Monica was discovered by her brother George at Luciane Apartments at Kitale Lane off Denis Pritt road in Kilimani.
