Manchester United’s loss to Championship side Derby County is one of the latest poor but not shocking performances from the biggest team in English football history. The Red devils are a club in confusion from every corner of this former European giant.
Derby County beat Manchester United 8-7 in a dramatic penalty shootout to settle a pulsating Carabao Cup tie at Old Trafford and send the Championship club through to the fourth round.
After 15 successful penalties, Rams goalkeeper Scott Carson saved Phil Jones’ effort low to his left to secure a famous victory for Frank Lampard’s side.
In an incident-packed tie, United took the lead through Juan Mata’s first goal in nine months before Harry Wilson – on loan from Liverpool – equalised with a brilliant dipping free-kick from 30 yards.
The result and performance on the day led to many calling out for Mourinho to be sacked…
New low..
Mourinho was at one point one of the best in the game, perhaps even THE best. But at this stage he's simply living off of reputation. His tactics have no place in the modern game. Outdated and totally washed up. Tactically outclassed by a man four months into the job. A new low.

Banter era..
Only Man Utd fans hate Mourinho. The rest of us are cool with him managing their club. New contract needed asap

How do they?

Digging his own grave..
A war with Paul Pogba is not one that Mourinho can win. He's digging his own grave, United will do anything it takes to keep Pogba.

No money..
Mourinho did well when he was significantly richer than everyone else in the league.
Not a coincidence that since everyone else started spending big, he became irrelevant. Ultimate cheque book manager

Beyond a joke..
The biggest kick in the teeth tonight is that Frank Lampard has been at Derby for two months and has his players well drilled and playing with a style. Mourinho has been here for over TWO YEARS and you still have no idea what we’re doing. It’s beyond a joke now.
