Yesterday, social media served as the judge, jury and executioner after news broke out that Jacque Maribe’s fiancé was linked to the brutal murder of Monica Kimani.
Ms Kimani was found slaughtered and her body dumped inside a bathtub at her house in Luciane Apartment Complex off Denis Pritt Road in Kilimani last week on Wednesday.
Jacque Maribe became the trending topic on Tuesday after Kenyans on social media doled out their opinions about her fiancé’s arrest. Some people felt that it was unfair that Maribe’s name was dragged through the mud while others expressed that ‘she had it coming’ for falling for the bad guys.
Dennis Onsarigo a fellow journalist has rushed in to defend Maribe asking people not to be so hard on the Citizen news anchor as public life is a ‘crazy and pressing balance’.
Let’s not be so hard on Jacque Maribe. Public life is a crazy and pressing balance.
