Shock as Obado supporter reveals they were paid to Protest

One of Governor Okoth Obado’s supporters has admitted that they had been paid to stage protests in demand of Obado’s release.

The protests started on Sunday in Migori and Nairobi with protesters demanding that their governor should be released.

They carried banners written “No Obado No Peace.”

On Monday 24th September 2018 as Obado’s was being charged at Milimani Law courts,a section of people were noticed outside the court premises  making phone calls in vernacular language inquiring on whereabouts of their counterparts who never turned up.

Mixed reactions were evident at the court as Obado’s supporters pushed for his release while slain Sharon Otieno’s family and friends urged for justice to take course.

The governor who appeared in court earlier on Monday, September 24, is set to spend the fourth night in cells as the fate to bail him out would be know on Tuesday, September 25.

The low turnout, the supporter averred had dealt a blow to the strong message they wanted to send concerning what was described as maltreatment of their governor.

An earlier report indicted the dragnet to roundup suspected killers of the Rongo University student had grown bigger.

This is after Obado’s bodyguard was arrested in a Nairobi hotel near Milimani Law courts.

Mwita Moses Mogaya alias John Chacha who is an Administration Police (AP) officer was accused of using academic certificates belonging to one John Chacha Nyamohanga to secure employment two years ago.

He was whisked away from the the premises by EACC and DCI detectives who took him for questioning.
