My life is in danger, States DPP Haji

Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji  opened up about some serious threats to his life following his work.

While speaking at a live interview with one of the local stations the DPP said, “I have had threats but this is not the first for me, you know I worked in the National Intelligence Service (NIS), I’ve had threats from Al-Shabaab and Al-Qaeda, both me and my family. Those threats are still in existence. Al-Shabaab renewed their threats against me.”

In addition he said, “With NLC case, my father’s case has been popping up and interestingly, they did not do that much earlier when I was at National Intelligence Security(NIS) and I think it is a way of them telling me to stop.”

He said the threats appear to be subtle but remained adamant, and sent a very strong message to the terror groups and told them that he believes in God and affirmed that he would carry his duties without fear or favour.

“I believe in God and that my destiny is determined by Him and no human. If I am destined to die at a certain time or point, I will. There is nothing I can do about it,”  the DPP stated.
