On Monday 24th September 2018, another bodyguard to Migori Governor Okoth Obado was arrested near Milimani Law Courts as he entered in a restaurant opposite the court to have breakfast.
This happened as the case against his boss governor Obado was going on at Milimani Law courts.
Sources said that Chacha was apprehended by DCI Detectives after his phone was traced to have been near the scene where the slain Rongo University Student Sharon Otieno was murdered.
Governor Okoth Obado’s bodyguards, John Chacha has been arrested in a hotel near Milimani Law Courts by DCI detectives. His phone is among those traced to have been around the scene of murder of Slain university student. Chacha was also arrested with fake documents and a gun.

Mr. Chacha Nyamohanga alias Mwita Moses Mogaya is to be arraigned before the Anti-Corruption Court in Milimani Nairobi today 24th September 2018.
However, EACC has come out to explain that Chacha was arrested for impersonating another person’s certificates which he used to acquire an employment in 2006 at the National Police Service.
@EACCKenya received a complaint, conducted investigations and established that the subject used certificates belonging to one Mr.John Chacha Nyamohanga to get entry to the Administration Police Service in 2006.

People had already established that Chacha is another suspect linked to Sharon’s murder.
@EACCKenya forwarded the file to the DPP who gave consent to arrest and initiate criminal proceedings against Mr. John Chacha Nyamohanga alias Mwita Moses Mogaya with the offence of personation of a person named in a certificate contrary to Section 384 of the Penal Code.
