Uhurus recent changes in his administration

the Jubilee administration’s promise to create jobs ha turned into a reality for several politicians who lost in last year’s elections but have since been appointed to top state jobs by president Uhuru Kenyatta.

In a script that is familiar where loyal politicians who lose elections find their way to the cabinet, state corporations and civil service, Zedekiah Bundotich alias Buzeki who lost the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial race has been appointed the Chairman of the Board of Chemelil Sugar Company Limited.

Ex Kitui Senator David Musila who was sent home in last year’s elections has also received a new lifeline after he was appointed to be the Chairman of the Board of the National Museums of Kenya for a period of three (3) years.

Other in the list unveiled on Friday include Vihiga Governor Moses Akaranga who was appointed to be the chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the National Environment Trust Fund. Former Vihiga MP Yusuf Chanzu will be a members of the the Board of Directors of the Consolidated Bank Limited.

Christine Atieno Otieno who lost the Kisumu gubernatorial race was appointed to the board of Chemelil Sugar as a member alongside former SONU president David Osiany.

Also in the pack on beneficiaries of yesterday’s appointment is Former Senate speaker Ekwe Ethuro who will now chair the Higher Education Loans Board, for a period of five (5) years, with effect from the 20th September, 2018.

 

Thomas Mwadeghu who lost the Wundanyi parliamentary seat will be a member of the Board of the Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority.

The appointments come in the face of rising unemployment and harsh economic times with a sharp rise in the cost of living.
