Marco Silva Reveals Bernard is ready for full Everton debut Vs Arsenal

Everton are set to take on Arsenal this Sunday as they look to bounce back from their 3-1 defeat to West Ham

Ahead of the clash, Everton boss Marco Silva has been speaking about one of Everton’s summer signings, Bernard.

On the subject of Bernard, Silva said in his Arsenal pre-match press conference:

“Bernard can help with everything we need.

“He is ready to give 100 per cent, even if he is not yet in his best physical condition, which is normal because he did not play since last March.

“In his first 50 minutes he did well, he had a good impact in a difficult moment in the match.

“He is a different profile from the other wingers in our squad. A quality player and he will help us.

“If I need 90 minutes, he is ready for what I need.

We cannot change everything because we play against a strong side. They will make us in some moments do things we don’t like and create problems for us.

“But when we have the ball in our offensive transition, in our offensive organisation, we have to keep our football, our way to play, to create problems for them.”

Bernard signed for Everton in August on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk.

He missed Everton’s first two games due to a lack of fitness.

The Brazilian then made a five-minute sub appearance vs Bournemouth and featured for 46 minutes in the Toffees last match vs West Ham.

Everton now face an inform Arsenal side this Sunday who have won their last four.

Judging by what Silva has said about Bernard, we could well see him make his first Everton start vs the Gunners.
