Reports in Spain claim that Cristiano Ronaldo and his entourage feel “persecuted” by UEFA since joining Juventus.
The rapport with UEFA has been deteriorating rapidly since he left Spanish giants Real Madrid.
He did not turn up to the Champions League draw ceremony after learning he had been snubbed for the Player of the Year award in favour of teammate, Croatian Captain and 2018 Fifa Worldcup finalist Luka Modric.
Ronaldo was then sent off in his Champions League debut for Juventus, a 2-0 win over Valencia, for lightly tugging Jeison Murillo’s hair.
According to reports however, Ronaldo and his entourage believe they are being “persecuted” by UEFA and fear a heavy ban as further punishment.
In the aftermath of the Valencia game, it is now widely said that Ronaldo no longer had the ‘protection’ of Real Madrid and was more harshly dealt with by referees.
