Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has said cleared the airwaves on stunt after he said that he is not seeking for any political mileage but just working.
He said he is the Nairobi County Governor and no one is challenging him.
Sonko was speaking this on a televised Interview dubbed JKL Live aired on Citizen Tv when he was being asked about his latest stunts in his leadership and the MCAs plan to impeach him.
The Nairobi County MCAs accuse governor of being melodramatic thus threatening to impeach him next week but Sonko maintains that cartels will be dealt with ruthlessly.
He says the MCAs planning to impeach him are just not happy about his move to remove ghost city hall workers and cartels who are some MCAs’ allies.
Sonko has lately suspended several county officials with the Current crisis concerning Pumwani Maternity Hospital.
While speaking about the Pumwani Hospital incident, Sonko maintained that it was not a PR stunt as many claim since he is not after any political mileage.
He further urged people to understand him citing that whatever he is doing is just his leadership style in which he doesn’t entertain nonsense, assuring that he was going to deal with cartels ruthlessly.
On matters concerning Pumwani Hospital Sonko said he want to understand the challenges the management is facing before addressing them since Nairobi belongs to everyone.
