Kenyans on Twitter have have expressed their anger through reactions following the arrest of the former Nairobi County Governor Dr. Evans Kidero.
They claim the arrest was planned to divert people’s attention from the proposed 8% VAT Tax that was scheduled to be discussed on Thursday by the members of Parliament.
Kidero was arrested by EACC Detectives from his Muthaiga home on Thursday morning following corruption claims.
The detectives are said to have camped in his Muthaiga home from 2:00 am on Thursday and later moved back to his house in search of cash and documents.
Rearrest of Former Nairobi Governor Dr Evans Kidero by EACC detectives doesn’t carry any weight, he will be interrogated, arraigned in court and released on cash bail. The same tiring tactic. Dear residence of Chinese province, stay focused #TaxVoteKe pic.twitter.com/hqqzVFo0jY

Kenyans took to social media to advise others not to divert their attention to Kidero’s arrest but instead keep their focus on the Tax debate that was being discussed in the parliament by the MPs.
Hey #KOT Don’t take your mind off #TaxVoteKe to Evans Kidero arrest, It’s meant to divert our attention. Keep attention to that corrupt house called Parliament, Make sure you know stand of MP for your constituency. This will be passport to land him or her in political coldness.

They argued out that every member of parliament’s stand on the tax debate has to be known for the Kenyans to know which members are representing the interests of their people.
Let not the Raid on Evans Kidero distract you from the fact that Jubilee wants us to fund their Hunger to Loot more public funds. The Taxes are obnoxious and cantankerous. Resist such diversions.

When all eyes were on the Artur brothers way back, a Bomb was staged in the CBD to divert our attention from the whole story. Right now, we are in the middle of #FinanceBill2018 and #TaxVoteKe and All of a Sudden, Abduba Dida and Evans Kidero raids happen. Why now??
