Coutinho pumped up for champion’s league debut with Barcelona

It’s going to be a very special night for the Brazilian midfielder, who was unable to play in UEFA fixtures for FC Barcelona last season. Having been transffered from Liverpool Football club in Mid-season, he had already played for the Reds in the Champions League, and according to the UEFA rules, he was cup-tied.

Speaking the day before the first game of the 2018/19 Champions Leaguecampaign, Philippe Coutinho said that “it will be a special, important night for me. I’m looking forward to this because I couldn’t play in this competition for Barça last season.”

“We are Barça and we want to win every competition we play in. The Champions League is a huge competition and we want to do big things … It’s a very demanding competition because of the quality of the teams involved, but both us players and the fans are really hungry to win it.”

The Barca’s Number 14 says it is hard to compare him to other players because he has his own ways of playing the game, but also added that it is a huge honour to be compared top layers like Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi.

He  also added that  Barcelona re in a very difficult group, and they need to be 100 per cent in every game and not think that they are favourites.

And on tactics, he concludes said, he always try to do hisbit in whatever position he is playing,  and he work hard to help his  team-mates. He added that he feels most comfortable on the left because that’s where he has always played, but he tries to adapt to whatever position
