Accident happens on valley road again!

This is not the first time for an accident to occur along valley road, although many may seem to have forgotten. The question is; Is valley road one of the black spots? Well many think it should be on the list following the repeated accidents that have occurred recently and in the past. Perhaps one of the causes could be on the poor state of the Kenyan roads in general or unroadworthy vehicles freely carrying passengers around. These factors put Kenyans lives at risk yet somehow they all seem ignored.

Years ago, a bus carrying Compuera Academy students rolled on Valley Road around 6.30am after a tyre burst.

Seven students and three adults were injured and taken to Nairobi Hospital. Three, who sustained serious injuries, were admitted. The rest were treated and discharged.

Nairobi Senator then, who is now governor Mike Mbuvi said he would petition then Governor Evans Kidero to have “traffic lights installed in the area where the accident occurred since it is a black spot.”

Following today’s accident, ma3route suggested and appealed that bumps be placed on the road.

Sources reveal that from the way it looked, I thought it lost brakes so he was trying to get it to stop before it accelerated too much and crashed into the traffic at the bottom near Serena where there are traffic lights.

In another accident,a matatu crushed with a stationery pole along Mombasa road this morning next to Bunyala round about.

The rate at which these accidents are happening is so alarming.Something needs to be done.

Kenyans today also aired their complaints to NTSA claiming that there are any reckless and unqualified drivers
