Gor Mahia coach challenges Safaricom

Gor Mahia head coach Dylan Kerr has challenge Safaricom to build a football stadium in Woodley as the first step in football development.

The coach who attended the first round of matches played on Saturday feels that building talents should start off with basic such as having a good playing surface.

 

Safaricom Limited on Saturday launched “Chapa Dimba na Safaricom” season two youth tournament in Kibera’s Woodley stadium with more than 10 teams participating in the tournament. The Tournament that officially kicked off in the morning, with among the teams participating being Gor Mahia Fc under 19 attracted a large audience.

Safaricom has been doing this from early this year with an aim of searching and nurturing talents among the youths in the slams and rural areas.

Chapa Dimba na Safaricom season one’s finals were held in Kakamega county at Bukhungu stadium with the winners walking away with a Ksh. 1 million cheque.
