The #RiverwoodAcademyAwards2018 took place in Kisumu yesterday. The event marked a very great in the history of the Kenyan film Industry. According to the CEO of the Kenya Film Classification board, Dr. Ezekiel Mutua, he describes the academy as the launching pad for the great collaboration with County Governments in positioning the film industry as a key pillar of economic development.
This awarding ceremony’s aim was to celebrate film makers within the creative industry. It is also an annual event that is focused on awarding remarkable talents in the creative industry. The colourful event which was the 5th Edition since its inception; it was hosted by Wilbroda and Big Ted.
County minister of Tourism, Achieng’ Alai welcomed the attendees in Kisumu county to kick off the event.
