And so it happened that Taj Mall, the tower of impunity finally fell to the might of Sany, the excavator that has become the darling of Nairobi and nightmare of investors.
Kenyans have been waiting for a very long time to see if the building will be brought down. A notice was given to tenants to vacate before 31st August. We thought it would go down a day later but nothing happened.
Beautiful footage of SANY the Conqueror demolishing Taj Mall formerly Airgate Mall.
After this we shall fuel SANY & head to Shanzu Beach where Arap Mashamba has being converted to Arap Bahari & is grabbing public beach spaces.
Then after we head down to Weston Hotel. pic.twitter.com/CgL9LrOoKN

But it finally came to pass on Saturday morning, Sany arrived around six under very heavy security, work started around 30 minutes later.
The gates were barricaded to prevent the public from entering the site.
Kenyans moved to social media to celebrate as impunity goes down.
If Taj Mall goes down today, i will humbly pay the 8% VAT and won’t complain any more.
