News that giant Telcoms firm Safaricom has introduced free WhatsApp in their latest Data Plans have send Kenyans to cloud nine. Most Kenyans believe that there will be no more excuses like ‘Sikuona text juu sikua na bundles’

In a statement sent out on Twitter, Safaricom stated: “We have listened. Get more from our new data bundles”.
Under the new plan, customers will be able to send and receive WhatsApp messages for free in the time limit of their data plan even after the depletion of the their bundles. The move is likely to receive an uproar from their competitors Airtel and Telkom.
